The role

We are currently looking for a hard working and ambitious Junior Accountant to join our Finance team based in Campbell, ACT.  In this role you will support Managers and Employees at Hindmarsh and provide them with insight to the financial performance of their projects or business units.

Reporting to the Deputy Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for the accurate completion of month and year end processing across multiple entities. Your day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Month & year end processing, associated journals and account reconciliations
  • BAS, FBT, superannuation, work cover and payroll tax returns
  • Monthly reconciliations of loan facilities
  • Produce management reporting information
  • Assist with consolidation, taxation, compliance and audit activities

About you

Ideally you have an Accounting Degree, 1 - 2 years of work experience and are currently working towards your CA/CPA.

To succeed in this role, you must have intermediate to advanced Excel skills and excellent attention to detail. This role will require you to interact with a wide range of people within our business, so you will need to have an ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
